Pilates Classes

Pilates can be challenging for the beginner. We have designed a series of classes based on our training through APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) to help you achieve success in the Pilates fitness world.

Our goal for each client is to provide a fun, safe environment to learn how to access your core and apply your skills to everyday activities improving your strength, balance and health. We limit our class sizes to no more than six clients per instructor to allow us time to assist each client with their needs without slowing down the class as a whole.
Pilates Classes
Initial evaluation + two 1:1 sessions You will receive a complementary copy of the Back to Life book from which we base most of our program! CoreFit is dedicated to helping you safely perform the exercises in our classes. We designed our pre-Pilates class, consisting of an initial evaluation/health screening followed by two one-on-one sessions, to help us accurately assess your fitness level and safety to participate in our classes and to provide you with instruction in proper activation of your core. Once you have successfully completed the Pre-Pilates class, you are free to join our Mat Work 1 course!

In Mat Work 1, you will learn how to integrate your core into simple exercises designed to challenge your body’s strength, balance and coordination! Our class size is limited to allow individualized instruction and utilize the information we learned in the pre-Pilates session to properly cue and give you exercise accommodations appropriate for any known issue. *Attending all six sessions will give you one free class in the next set of classes you choose to join!

Mat Work 2 builds on the skills learned in Mat Work 1, pushing you to gain control of your core in a variety of positions, improving your balance and your strength. Each class builds on the one before. We provide you with weekly assignments to work on during the week that will build your strength and help you progress on your own during the week.

Our Beginning Ball Class adds a challenge to the Pilates skills learned in Mat Work 1 of an unstable surface on which to learn to control while challenging your core.
